Acupuncture

Class IV K-Laser Therapy

Class IV K-Laser Therapy

Use of needles to affect the deep muscles, joints and connective tissues in the body in accordance with western medicine.

Acupuncture is a traditional form of health care that began in China centuries ago. Today, research has shown that this method of treatment has been effective in promoting relaxation, circulation, decrease in muscle tension and pain. Contemporary acupuncture is an evidence-based practice which focuses on anatomy and physiology with the aid of electrical stimulation to activate the nervous system and modulate pain.

Class IV K-Laser Therapy

Class IV K-Laser Therapy

Class IV K-Laser Therapy

Used to treat both chronic and acute pain that is present anywhere on the body.

It is commonly used from chronic back and neck pain, lower back pain, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Studies have shown that by using the laser light (photobiomodulation), cellular protein production can be modulated. This will stimulate a deeper healing process by increasing blood circulation to the affected area(s), decreasing swelling, reducing pain, and enhancing tissue repair.

Ergonomic Assessments

Class IV K-Laser Therapy

Ergonomic Assessments

Identifies the cause of your ergonomic risk and provides in-depth recommendations designed to resolve the risk factors based on the identified behavioural, administrative and/or engineering/design.

An ergonomic assessment is very valuable in determining how a workstation may cause awkward posture and result in repetitive strain injuries. A proper ergonomic design and assessment is necessary to prevent these injuries which can lead to long term disability.

Deep Pool Aquatherapy

Neuro-Emotional Technique

Ergonomic Assessments

Experience a variety of cardiovascular and resistance exercises in the deep pool.

In joint with our sister location Northville Rehabilitation Centre, we team up with the City of Markham to provide our aquatherapy program. Patients are suspended by a special flotation device (aquajogger) that allows them to be up to 90% buoyant in the water. This allows exercises to be performed in near weightlessness with no added impact on the joints.

Neuro-Emotional Technique

Neuro-Emotional Technique

Neuro-Emotional Technique

Proven combination of the latest scientific research and centuries-old techniques used in Eastern healing.

By acknowledging the relationship between the body's emotional health, environmental toxicity, nutritional balance and structural integrity, appreciative patients around the world enjoy better health and well-being. Emotions such as fear, anger, grief and many others can negatively affect us physically long after the original event that caused them.

Graston Technique ®

Neuro-Emotional Technique

Neuro-Emotional Technique

A patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization.

This enables the clinician to effectively detect and treat scar tissue and restrictions that affect normal function. The Graston Technique® instruments are used to enhance the clinician's ability to detect adhesions, scar tissue or restrictions in the affected areas. Skilled clinicians use the stainless steel instruments to comb over and "catch" on fibrotic tissue, which immediately identifies the areas of restriction. Once the tissue has been identified, the instruments are used to break up the scar tissue so it can be absorbed by the body.
